  • Our wedding style is Garden Party meets Island Formal. We’d love to see an elevated, breezy, and colorful aesthetic!

    Consider:

    • Mid-to-full-length dresses in light fabrics, floral prints, or colors inspired by a garden or island.

    • A sharp suit in any color or a blazer with chinos. Tie or no tie, up to you!

    • Barong Tagalog

    • Filipiniana or María Clara

    • Island/floral short or long sleeve shirt and chinos or pants

    Footwear & Terrain

The ceremony is outdoors, and the reception will be held indoors. Venue has a mix of lawn and slightly uneven trails.

    • Pro-Tip: We highly recommend skipping the stiletto heels! Block heels, wedges, or dressy flats will ensure you can navigate the grass with ease.

    September in Seattle

September is one of the most beautiful times of year in the city, but the evenings can get crisp!

    • The Temperature: Expect a high around 70°F during the day, dropping to about 55°F after the sun sets (which will be right around 7:15 PM).

    • Be Prepared: We recommend bringing a light wrap, pashmina, or jacket to stay comfortable through the evening.

  • Please note that the ceremony is at the lower ground level and the reception is at the next level up. Some parts of the venue feature grass, uneven paths, and stairs. Please let us know if you will need to use the elevator to move between levels, and we will be more than happy to accommodate you.

TRAVEL FAQ’s

  • UW Center for Urban Horticulture
    3501 NE 41st St, Seattle, WA 98105

  • Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). It’s about 20–30 minutes south of downtown Seattle.

  • Seattle has lots of hotel, Airbnb, and VRBO options to meet different styles and budgets. See below for some of our neighborhood recommendations!

For the touristy traveler: Downtown Seattle, Lower Queen Anne, South Lake Union, On the Waterfront

For the ‘I want to be nearby the venue’ traveler: University District, Ravenna

For the nightlife traveler: Capitol Hill

For the live like a local traveler: Ballard, Fremont, Upper Queen Anne, Green Lake, West Seattle, Central District, Beacon Hill, Madison Valley

  • The Link Light Rail is the most budget-friendly way to get downtown. It takes a little over 40 minutes.

Rideshare: Follow signs for "Ground Transportation" to the 3rd floor of the parking garage for Uber/Lyft.

Driving: Traffic on I-5 can be unpredictable, so give yourself an extra 30 minutes if you’re traveling during "rush hour" (which in Seattle is 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM).

  • If you’re staying Downtown or in Capitol Hill, it’s worth considering skipping the rental. Seattle is very rideshare-friendly (Uber/Lyft), and the Link Light Rail connects the airport directly to the city.

You may consider renting a car if you’re staying outside of Seattle or in the outer neighborhoods.

Definitely rent a car if you want to venture out to the beautiful Cascade mountains or make a trip to the peninsula.

Parking Pro-Tip: Parking in Seattle can be expensive ($30–$50+ per night at hotels). If you do rent a car, check if your lodging includes parking or use the SpotHero app to find cheaper garage rates nearby.

    Where to Rent:

    • SEA Airport: This location is most convenient, if you’re flying in. All major agencies (Hertz, Enterprise, etc.) are located at the off-site Rental Car Facility, accessible via a 24/7 shuttle from the terminals.

    • Downtown: If you only need a car for one day (like for a trip to Tahoma/Mt. Rainier), there are several rental offices downtown.

  • Yes! There is free parking on-site at UW Center for Urban Horticulture.
